Da Nang is a coastal city in central Vietnam known for its sandy beaches and history as a French colonial port. It's a popular base for visiting the inland Bà Nà hills. Here the Hải Vân Pass has views of Da Nang Bay and the Marble Mountains, 5 limestone outcrops that are home to pagodas and caves containing Buddhist shrines.
Flight to Danang AK648 KUL -DAD 13:55 – 15:30, transfer to Hue on Vietnam’s central coast. En route, enjoy the picturesque view of Danang Bay. Stop at Red Beach - the place where both French and American troops first landed in Vietnam in 1858 and 1965. Check into hotel. Dinner at local restaurant. Free.
Buffet breakfast at hotel. Drive out of the city to visit the exquisitely designed Tombs of Emperors Minh Mang and Tu Duc. Lunch at local restaurant. In the afternoon board a traditional long tailed dragon boat and head up the Perfume River to visit the splendid Thien Mu Pagoda and Monastery. Then the magnificent Citadel, former home to the emperors and free shopping at Dong Ba Market before going to dinner.
Today head back south through beautiful rural and coastal scenery to Danang. On arrival to Danang, pay a visit to Linh Ung Pagoda on Monkey Mountain, the nicest pagoda located on Monkey Mountain where you can have a panoramic view of Danang City then see the Cham Museum in Danang, housing a unique collection of the Cham's Hindu style sculpture. Continue to the Marble Mountains exploring numerous caves and Buddhist shrines. Finally arrive in the enchanting Hoi An. Dinner at local restaurant. This evening at leisure wander through the narrow streets of this charming ancient town.
This morning drive west of HoiAn to the Holy See of MySon, built from 4th to 13th century. Explore the temples and towers in the valley surrounded by sacred mountains. In the afternoon head back to HoiAn town for lunch. Take a walking tour of this historic town following narrow lanes with centuries old buildings influenced by Chinese, Japanese & European architecture, a Chinese Communal House and see the 17th century Japanese Bridge, a local house with exquisite architecture. Dinner at local restaurant. Overnight in Danang.
Free for shopping before fare-well lunch at local restaurant and transfers to Danang Airport for flight AK649 departing at 14:00. End of services.
