A lot of wildlife including elephants, leopards, sloth bears, variety of birds etc… makes the Sri Lanka a paradise for nature lovers & wildlife enthusiasts. Wilderness of Sri Lanka welcomes explorers who really love to find the hidden treasures and experience the glamour.

Sri Lanka is fortunate to be gifted by nature and a wealth of animal life & tropical vegetation. The island's 65,610 sq km, dedicates 14% to sanctuaries and nature reserves. Today's wildlife adventurers have been blessed by the legacy of a 3rd century BC King who declared the 1st sanctuary as recorded in the Buddhist scriptures - "The King decreed that all human beings should follow the hallowed Buddhist precept of not harming any form of life".

Day 1 – Arrival in Sri Lanka

  Arrive in Sri Lanka and you will be welcomed by the representatives of Asian Escapes and transfer to Colombo. Check in at your hotel in Colombo. In the evening you will be able to go for a City tour in Colombo including a visit to Diyatha Garden where you will be able to spot some low country species. Dinner and overnight stay at your Hotel in Colombo.

Day 2 - Leave to Sinharaja

Leave for Sinharaja after having an early breakfast at the hotel. Check in at your lodge in Sinharaja. If time permits you will be able to go for a walk in the vicinity. Overnight stay at your lodge in Sinharaja.

Day 3 - Exploration in SINHARAJA RAINFOREST

Full day exploration in SINHARAJA RAINFOREST with packed meals. Sinharaja is one of the 10 best places in the world with high bio-diversity. Out of 147 species recorded in Sinharaja, 21 species are endemic to Sri Lanka.  The highlighted species are Greater Racket-tailed Drongo, Noisy Orange-billed Babbler, elusive Red-faced Malkoha, Green-billed Coucal and Sri Lanka Blue Magpie. Back to the lodge for overnight stay.

Day 4 - Transferred to Udawalawe

After another short trail in the vicinity, you will be transferred to Udawalawe and check in at your campsite. Leave for a Jeep Safari in Udawalawe National Park which is renowned for large herds of Asian Elephants throughout the year. Back to the campsite for overnight stay.

Day 5 - Safari in Yala National Park

Enjoy the breakfast at your campsite. Afterward you will proceed to Yala National Park for an evening safari drive. Yala National Park which has the highest density of Leopards in the world and the other big shots at Yala are Asian Elephants & Sloth bears. Proceed to your hotel after safari for overnight stay.

Day 6 -  Ravana Waterfalls & Ella Gap

Leave for Nuwara Eliya after breakfast at the Hotel. Stop at Ravana Waterfalls & Ella Gap where you will be able to capture some breath taking views. Proceed to Nuwara Eliya and check in at your hotel. In the evening the guests are free to explore the vicinity on your own. Back at the hotel for overnight stay.

 

Day 7 -  Horton Plains National Park

 

  Early morning leave for a birding trail in Horton Plains National Park with a packed breakfast. This is the national park which lies in the highest altitude and only permitted to walk in Sri Lanka. Visit Bakers Falls and the Worlds’ End located in Horton Plains. Back to your hotel. In the evening you are free to visit Nuwara Eliya town and the vicinity. Back to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.  

 

Day 8 -  Proceed to Kandy

 

Proceed to Kandy after breakfast at the hotel. Your journey to Kandy will be a remarkable experience with scenic mountains, breath-taking views, waterfalls, tea plantations etc… Visiting a Tea Factory to witness the process of producing world renowned Ceylon Tea and tasting a cup of Tea will be another unique experience of the day. Visit Temple of Tooth in Kandy before you check in. Check in at your hotel for dinner and overnight stay.     

   

Day 9 -  Proceed to Wasgamuwa

   

Proceed to Wasgamuwa after breakfast at the Hotel. Visit Wasgamuwa National Park which is famous for Sloth Bears. The name of the National Park self describes as the Woods of bears. Go for a safari drive at witness the sloth bears in their natural habitat. Back to the Park entrance and proceed to your hotel & check in for overnight stay.    

 

Day 10 - Proceed to Dambulla

 

Proceed to Dambulla after breakfast. Check in at your hotel. In the evening, visit Dambulla Cave Temple another UNESCO World Heritage Site which has 5 caves full of frescos and hundreds of Buddha Statures. Back to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.  

Day 11 - Proceed to Sigiriya

Proceed to Sigiriya and climb the gigantic Sigiriya Rock Fortress. Back to the foot hills and leave for Negombo. Check in at your hotel in Negombo upon your arrival and you are free to relax in the beach. Dinner and overnight stay at your hotel in Negombo. 

Day 12 - Proceed to Negombo

Day 12&13

The entire days are yours to spend on the beach. Overnight stay at your hotel in Negombo.

Day 14 -  Transferred to the Airport

After collecting remarkable wildlife experience in Sri Lanka, you will be transferred to the Airport to connect your departure flight.
